WOULD RETURNING THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT THE PEOPLE FIX A LOT OF THESE ISSUES?
It seems that the main choke point in holding our highest officials accountable is the Department of Justice. One possible solution would be ELECTING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, instead of the position being appointed by the president.
The political burden placed on the justice department cuts both ways. They have a hard time policing the party that appointed them, and if they police the opposing party it is seen as a political move and will likely hurt the party that appointed them.
In addition, appointing the Attorney General makes them beholden to the DC elites, and not the people. Essentially, we are allowing the elites and major news networks to police us, and police themselves. It should come as no surprise under this system, that the elites, big tech, and big media are so susceptible to corruption.
A Justice Department by and for the people would create a large check on DC, and the result would likely be a more honest media as well. The attorney general would have to answer to the people as to why this fraud and corruption is allowed to persist, and how well they handle it would greatly affect their future and legacy.
Most states elect their AG, as do most cities. An AG elected by the states would create a separation of powers between the executive, congress, and the courts. Congress would have the power to impeach the AG, creating a check against the AG, and the people would have additional protection via the courts, and voting power.
IMHO this would be the biggest step in “draining the swamp”, but would require a constitutional amendment.
Any thoughts on this?

Regarding the point about the comments towards your reporting, I believe it is due to those that do not know what real reporting is. They've either never seen it or never sought to understand it. Most of them have no time to commit to the homework needed in order to conclude their opinion. I'm from the day when reporting was real. When you could trust the news on television and in newspapers. Sure, there were agendas from time to time but nothing like it is today. Today, one has to invest time to seek the truth. If we really all want to save our country it's an investment of a lifetime.
Any news on the Mexican general that was arrested in LA?, if trump helps mexico with their old presidents corruption im sure AMLO will help with what ever they need on Obama Adm.=)
