Halliburton on Monday announced plans to close its El Reno operation, and more than 800 employees are expected to lose their jobs, El Reno Mayor Matt White told KOCO 5. KOCO 5 obtained a letter sent by Halliburton officials to the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development, which says in part, “This letter serves as written notice to Oklahoma City that Halliburton Energy Services, Inc. (HESI) is planning to have mass layoffs at the following physical addresses: 6100 East Highway 66, El Reno, OK 73036.”“HESI anticipates that the layoff will be on approximately December 2, 2019….
